Gear's Turn
Narrative Designer
Gear's Turn is a speculative game that came about during a narrative writing exercise. The main purpose was to take the game mechanics from an already existing game and build a completely original and unique story around it. In my case, the game mechanics I used are from Baldur's Gate 3.
Gear's Turn tells the tale of Scout, a young Constant on a mission to uncover the truth behind his brother's disappearance ten years prior. The journey takes them across the twin art-deco inspired steampunk cities of the Citadel and Alcazar. As they begin to uncover the ugly truth that lays hidden beneath the two cities, they have no idea just what kind of danger coils just out of view.
